Helicopter Spins Wildly into Palm Trees at Well-Known California Beach
An aircraft hovering near a well-attended California shoreline abruptly began spiraling out of control, finally dropping height and smashing into a cluster of palm fronds as beachgoers looked on.
Footage posted on the internet show the aircraft commencing to spiral over the beach then plunging in the direction of the perimeter of the beach, where it gets stuck among palm trees and a steps adjacent to the shoreline route.
Emergency Response Information
Emergency responders reported five people were taken to hospital involving two who were in the aircraft and were “rescued from the debris” subsequent to the incident on that day.
Three people on the road were injured. Details on their wounds were not immediately available.
What led to the incident was still under investigation.
