The UK airline is introducing free high-speed in-flight internet via satellite agreement
Passengers aboard British Airways are set to enjoy high-speed internet during flights at no cost after a new agreement involving SpaceX's satellite provider.
No-cost plus High-speed Connectivity for All
The airline revealed that the free, “reliable and lightning-fast” wifi provision through SpaceX becomes offered to passengers in coach, business, and first class as of next month.
Widespread Rollout Throughout Various Flight Operators
The holding firm for BA, International Airlines Group, announced it had secured an partnership with SpaceX to offer internet services on more than 500 jets operated by the group's airlines, which also include the Irish airline, the Spanish carrier, plus the low-cost airline.
Seamless Wifi from Boarding to Landing
BA stated that this rollout of this technology was part of a seven billion pound “transformation” plan that will deliver uninterrupted wifi service for flyers from the gate to arrival, also when traveling above seas and isolated areas.
Travelers will be able to connect multiple gadgets while they will not need a separate login.

Existing Connectivity Services
Limited wifi service remains available for British Airways flyers across the majority of its jets using its .air platform.
Members in BA’s reward scheme may dispatch communications and text-only messages onboard without paying, while travelers looking to watch audio, movies, and movies on their flight and are not travelling in business or first may pay between four pounds ninety-nine to twenty-one pounds ninety-nine for one connectivity package.
